SkyWorks appoints aviation veteran Daniel Skwarek as new Managing Director

SkyWorks Holdings has named Daniel Skwarek as its new Managing Director. The appointment brings three decades of aviation expertise to the firm, which specialises in supporting airlines with business and commercial strategies. Skwarek joins from InterVISTAS Consulting, where he led key consulting projects for airlines and airports worldwide.

Skwarek’s career spans 30 years in the aviation sector, including 25 years in commercial leadership at Delta Air Lines and Northwest Airlines. His roles covered alliance development, network planning, pricing strategy, and regulatory affairs. He has also structured global joint ventures and advised airlines on competitive positioning and growth.

Before joining SkyWorks, he served as Senior Vice President at InterVISTAS Consulting. There, he oversaw airline commercial consulting, airport air service development, and aviation policy work. Skwarek expressed enthusiasm about his new role, highlighting plans to expand SkyWorks’ ability to provide fleet and commercial advice to airline clients. CEO Matt Landess welcomed the appointment, noting that SkyWorks helps airlines identify business improvements and refine commercial strategies. The firm’s focus remains on ensuring long-term success for its clients in a competitive market.

The leadership change comes as SkyWorks continues to deliver analysis and insights to a broad range of clients. These include major network carriers, low-cost airlines, airports, and aircraft manufacturers. Skwarek’s experience is expected to strengthen the firm’s ability to support airlines in navigating industry challenges.
