Nizhny Novgorod Region unlocks affordable loans for small businesses in 2026

Small and medium-sized businesses in Nizhny Novgorod Region have gained access to affordable loans. These financial tools help companies grow, invest in new equipment, and keep operations running smoothly. The support is part of a broader national effort to strengthen the economy. The regional government offers several programmes to assist local entrepreneurs. Under the 'Support for Our Own' initiative, participants in the special military operation and assisting business owners can borrow up to 5 million rubles for up to 36 months. The 'Microloan' programme provides similar terms for eligible applicants.

To qualify, businesses must be registered in Nizhny Novgorod Region and have no overdue taxes or mandatory payments. Specialised financial products are also available for purchasing vehicles, equipment, or commercial property.

From January to May 2026, 42 subsidised loans were approved and issued. These loans provided entrepreneurs with a total of 143 million rubles in concessional financing. The 'My Business' centre supports applicants by offering consulting services and guidance on accessing state-backed tools. The programmes are part of the national project 'An Effective and Competitive Economy'. They aim to give small and medium-sized enterprises the financial means to expand and modernise. The funding has already helped dozens of businesses secure the resources they need.
