Wolfsburg bus routes face summer diversions due to road closure
Several bus routes in Wolfsburg will face major diversions during the summer holidays. The changes are due to a road closure between Steimker Gärten and Nordsteimke. Passengers are advised to check updated schedules and alternative stops online. From July 2 to August 12, WVG lines 215, 216, 225, 226, and 269, as well as KVG line 360, will be rerouted. The 'Nordsteimke' stop will be suspended in both directions, and alternative stops will be in use.
Lines 215/225 and 216/226 will depart from Wolfsburg Central Station and travel via Dieselstraße towards Nordsteimke. Passengers can use 'Kalkbergweg' and 'Hehlinger Straße' instead of the closed 'Nordsteimke' stop. Line 215 will also run an hourly shuttle to maintain connections between the central station and Steimker Gärten.
Line 269 will follow a similar diversion via Dieselstraße. Travellers heading to the Volkswagen plant are advised to transfer to line 267. On KVG line 360, the 'Nordsteimke' and 'Emmausheim' stops will be temporarily closed, with 'Kiebitzweg' serving as an alternative. The diversions will remain in place until August 12. Updated timetables and further details for all affected WVG lines are available on the operator’s website. Passengers should plan their journeys accordingly.
