Krasnodar Region transforms into Southern Russia's industrial tourism hub by 2036

The Krasnodar Region is working to establish itself as the centre of industrial tourism in Southern Russia. The initiative aims to attract visitors, strengthen business links and encourage investment in the area. Efforts to develop industrial tourism in Krasnodar Krai began two years ago. A major achievement has been the collaboration of tour operators from various regions to create a unified system for visiting industrial sites.

By the end of 2025, over 20 enterprises in the region were welcoming tourists. Additionally, more than 90 businesses had opened their doors to school and university students. The region is now expanding its reach by coordinating joint excursion routes with Rostov Oblast, the Republic of Crimea, and Karachay-Cherkessia.

The long-term goal is to integrate this sector into the updated Socioeconomic Development Strategy for Krasnodar Krai through 2036. Plans also include forming a single network of industrial tourism routes across enterprises in the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts. This push aligns with a directive from the federal government. The region is building a structured approach to industrial tourism. A unified network of routes and partnerships with neighbouring areas is expected to boost visitor numbers and business engagement. The strategy will be embedded in Krasnodar Krai’s broader development plans for the next decade.
