Strathmore Plus Uranium expands Wyoming's Agate project with new claims

Strathmore Plus Uranium Corp has expanded its Flagship Agate exploration project in Wyoming’s Shirley Basin. The company has staked nine new mineral claims, adding 186 acres to its existing holdings. The move follows ongoing efforts to uncover uranium deposits in the region. The Agate project already covers around 2,560 acres through 124 wholly owned lode mining claims. Uranium mineralisation there occurs in classic Wyoming-type roll fronts within the Eocene Wind River Formation. Historical records show that Shirley Basin once produced 53 million pounds of uranium from open-pit, underground, and in-situ recovery methods.

The newly staked claims lie east of drill hole AG-292-26, where uranium was previously detected. Since 2023, Strathmore has completed 294 drill holes at Agate, including five monitor wells for groundwater studies. A new uranium trend in the middle sand has also been identified, stretching over 2,500 feet.

Beyond Agate, the company holds two other permitted uranium projects in Wyoming: Beaver Rim and Night Owl. The latter was a surface mine active in the early 1960s. All three properties feature uranium in typical roll front deposits, based on historical drilling data. The expansion strengthens Strathmore’s position in Wyoming’s uranium sector. The additional claims increase the Agate project’s exploration potential. The company continues to focus on discovering new deposits across its permitted sites.
