Seturion, Weltix, and BlockInvest unite to streamline Italy's tokenised finance infrastructure

Seturion, owned by Boerse Stuttgart Group, has teamed up with Weltix and BlockInvest to develop an integrated infrastructure for digital financial instruments in Italy. The partnership aims to tackle the fragmentation in Europe’s digital capital markets settlement layer. Issuers will now be able to structure and issue tokenised financial instruments through BlockInvest’s platform. The new infrastructure allows tokenised instruments to be traded across multilateral trading facilities and over-the-counter markets. It also provides direct access to Boerse Stuttgart Group’s trading venues. Weltix manages the circulation of these instruments via its distributed ledger technology (DLT) register.

Seturion handles the settlement process, offering flexibility to complete transactions in central bank money or on-chain cash. Sven Wilke, Deputy CEO and CGO of Seturion, stated that the collaboration provides Italian issuers and investors with a full, regulated value chain, covering everything from issuance to settlement.

Lorenzo Rigatti, Founder and CEO of BlockInvest, noted that the partnership creates a smooth, end-to-end corridor for banks and corporates. It enables the fluid movement of assets and capital across European borders. The initiative remains open to additional participants, including banks, trading venues, and other market players. The integrated infrastructure will make tokenised financial instruments eligible for broader trading. It addresses key challenges in Europe’s digital capital markets by streamlining settlement and circulation. The partnership marks a step towards a more connected and efficient financial ecosystem.
