Cebu Pacific acquires AirSWIFT in PHP1.75 billion expansion deal
Cebu Pacific has agreed to acquire AirSWIFT in a deal worth PHP1.75 billion. The purchase marks a significant expansion for the airline group. AirSWIFT currently connects key tourist destinations in the Philippines. In 2024, Cebu Pacific signed a share purchase agreement with ALI Capital Corp. to take full ownership of AirSWIFT. The airline operates routes between Clark and El Nido, as well as links to Boracay, Bohol, Cebu and Coron.
From 1 July 2026, Cebu Pacific’s subsidiary, Cebgo, will take over all AirSWIFT flights. Passengers will see no changes to schedules or services. However, all flights currently coded as T6 will switch to the DG code used by Cebgo. The acquisition strengthens Cebu Pacific’s domestic network. AirSWIFT’s routes will continue under the Cebgo brand from mid-2026. The PHP1.75 billion deal secures the airline’s future under new ownership.
