Western Railway Cancels Sunday Jumbo Block On June 21, Runs Weekday Timetable For NEET Candidates' Convenience

Western Railway alters Sunday schedule for NEET examinees on June 21

Western Railway has announced a change to its usual Sunday schedule for June 21. The adjustment comes as thousands of students prepare to sit the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET). The railway has cancelled its planned jumbo maintenance block for that day. Instead, regular suburban local trains will follow the standard weekday timetable. AC local services will stick to their existing Sunday schedule.

The decision aims to help candidates and the general public travel more easily. A large number of NEET examinees are expected to use Mumbai’s suburban network to reach their test centres. The move addresses the anticipated surge in passenger numbers. Suburban trains will run as they do on weekdays, ensuring smoother access to examination venues. The railway’s adjustment seeks to minimise disruption for commuters and test-takers alike.
