Minneapolis Lush Lounge targeted in bold four-minute burglary

Lush Lounge and Theater in northeast Minneapolis was broken into by three men who stole a safe. The incident has drawn strong support from the local community as the owners navigate the aftermath. The burglars entered Lush and removed the safe in under four minutes. They kicked it down a flight of stairs before escaping. No money has been recovered from the stolen safe.

The three suspects are believed to be linked to 15 burglaries across the metro area. Owner Andy Rausch also suspects the charged individual is connected to five additional cases. Police are now processing DNA evidence from the scenes and anticipate further arrests.

Despite the break-in, staff remained determined to celebrate Pride weekend. The Lush community has rallied around the bar, offering support during the difficult time. The owners have expressed gratitude for the community’s solidarity. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities working to identify more suspects. The case remains part of a broader pattern of burglaries in the Twin Cities.
