Canadian man found not guilty by insanity in WWE star stalking case
A US judge in Florida has ruled that Shawn Chan, a Canadian man accused of stalking WWE star Liv Morgan, is not guilty by reason of insanity. He remains in custody in Hernando County ahead of his transfer to immigration authorities. Shawn Chan was arrested in June 2025 outside the WWE Performance Center. Earlier that year, he had visited Liv Morgan’s home, leading WWE to involve the FBI. The court’s decision means he will not face prison time for the charges.
The judge has now ordered US Marshals to hand Chan over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). As a Canadian citizen, he will not be freed but instead placed in ICE custody for deportation proceedings. Chan will be transferred to ICE in the coming days. He is expected to be deported back to Canada following the legal process. His release into the community is not planned at any stage.
