Businesses in Krasnodar Krai saw strong revenue growth in 2022, with retail leading the way. The region’s economy also benefited from transport, logistics, and construction. Agriculture, forestry, hunting, and fishing contributed around 22 billion rubles. Both sectors played a major role in the region’s economic output.
Across Russia, manufacturing, energy, and financial sectors had the highest average revenues among SMEs. Manufacturing firms averaged 96 million rubles per company. Energy sector businesses reached 98 million rubles on average, while financial and insurance firms earned 123 million rubles each. Irina Gorbunova, founder of Gross Finans, linked manufacturing’s growth to import substitution, increasing domestic demand, and government support. However, Alla Livinenko, director of an HR centre, warned of acute staffing shortages in manufacturing and energy.
