SkyFall's AI-Powered Drone Interceptor Outsmarts Russian Shahed Drones in Ukraine

SkyFall has introduced an upgraded version of its P1-SUN drone interceptor. The new model features an AI module for autonomous detection, tracking, and engagement of aerial threats. Dozens of Russian Shahed-type attack drones have already been intercepted using the system. The AI-based terminal guidance system can detect and lock onto targets at distances of up to one kilometre. It outperforms human operators in speed, enabling faster engagement of enemy drones. The algorithms were trained using real combat data, simulations, and a platform replicating Shahed drone thermal signatures.

The P1-SUN Long interceptor is now in active use by Ukrainian forces after combat testing. It is integrated with SkyFall’s remote-control infrastructure, allowing operation from any location with a stable internet connection. The system also supports remote software updates for deploying new neural network models and algorithm improvements.

SkyFall and Airbus Defence and Space have signed a memorandum of understanding for a strategic partnership. Their collaboration aims to enhance protection against drone and missile attacks in Ukraine and Europe. The AI software runs on standard CPUs and GPUs, ensuring easy procurement in large quantities. The system has already demonstrated its effectiveness by intercepting multiple Russian drones. Its AI capabilities and remote management features provide Ukrainian forces with a significant advantage. The partnership with Airbus Defence and Space is expected to further strengthen defences across the region.
