Kazakhstan's Arysan Military Lyceum Honors Future Leaders in Solemn Ceremony
A graduation ceremony took place at Arysan Military Lyceum in Panfilov Park. The event marked the end of another academic year for one of Kazakhstan’s most respected educational institutions. It began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Eternal Flame. Arysan Military Lyceum admits 80 cadets each year. Selection is based on psychological tests, academic results, and physical fitness, with competition reaching eight applicants per spot.
The lyceum offers a rigorous programme that includes military and physical training. Cadets participate in sports such as boxing, hand-to-hand combat, football, volleyball, and chess. In December 2025, the curriculum expanded to cover IT, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence.
At this year’s ceremony, four graduates received the 'Altyn Belgi' (Golden Badge) for outstanding academic achievement. Nine others earned honours diplomas, and over half the class completed their studies with top grades. Most Arysan graduates choose military careers. Many join the Kazakh Armed Forces, Border Service, National Guard, or the Committee for National Security (KNB). The lyceum continues to prepare cadets for both academic and military success.
