Ukraine deploys robotic systems to revolutionize demining operations
Ukrainian military specialists have successfully incorporated advanced robotic systems into demining operations. The exercise showcased cutting-edge equipment designed to speed up mine clearance efforts in a controlled environment. The 47th Separate Engineering Brigade led the demonstration at the Ukrainian Training Testing Complex. They deployed the ScanJack 3500 heavy demining vehicle and the GCS-200 unmanned remote-controlled platform under professional supervision. The event allowed observers to assess the performance of these heavy robotic systems in real conditions.
Ukrainian officials and international partners watched the field demonstration closely. The operation also highlighted the integration of these technologies into existing defensive and structural security frameworks. Meanwhile, KNDS France collaborated with Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies to develop unmanned ground vehicles, with plans to equip the Ukrainian RAVLYK platform with a KNDS Robotics kit.
The exercise served as a key evaluation platform for new mine clearance techniques. It also marked a step in the Ukrainian defence sector’s push to expand its global partnerships through high-tech advancements. The demonstration confirmed the effectiveness of specialised equipment in demining operations. These technologies are now being embedded into standard security frameworks to improve efficiency. The event underscored Ukraine’s growing role in international defence innovation.
