Felipe Ángeles Train keeps fares low as ridership soars past 1.5 million
The Felipe Ángeles Train continues to offer discounted fares for all trips. Passengers can travel the full route for 45 pesos or take shorter journeys for 11.50 pesos. These promotional prices were set by Banobras when the service began on 26 April. The train connects Buenavista station with Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA). Since its launch, it has carried more than 1.5 million passengers. Staff at Buenavista assist travellers with schedules and ticket details.
A passenger named Abigail recently paid 45 pesos for a four-stop trip from Prados to AIFA. On another journey, she paid 11.50 pesos for an eight-stop trip from Prados to Buenavista. Javier Pacheco has expressed hope that any future fare rise will remain under five pesos. The current fares remain unchanged for now. The train’s popularity is clear, with over 1.5 million users since April. Officials have not yet announced any changes to the promotional pricing.
