Kazakhstan's Saryagash District gets a lifeline with major water system upgrade
A major water supply system upgrade is currently underway in Kazakhstan’s Saryagash District, Turkestan Region. The project in the village of Akzhar is one of the largest this year, aiming to modernise outdated infrastructure. It promises to improve reliability and reduce water losses across the area. Work has already begun with significant progress. Around 30 kilometres of pipelines have been laid and 150 wells installed. The project includes building and reconstructing water pipelines, installing pipes of different diameters, and developing new water supply facilities.
Modern materials and advanced technologies are being used to ensure the system’s long-term operation. Special attention is given to the quality of work and adherence to construction standards. These measures are designed to guarantee a dependable water supply for years to come. Once completed, the upgrade will provide clean drinking water to approximately 7,000 residents. The project is expected to bridge the gap between urban and rural living standards. It will also positively affect public health, sanitation, and overall quality of life in the district.
