Sochi stabilizes fuel supply amid temporary petrol station restrictions

Sochi’s fuel supply remains stable despite temporary restrictions at some petrol stations. The city has 58 stations, with 45 currently running as usual. Authorities have urged drivers to stay calm and refuel only as needed. Eight Gazpromneft and NTC stations have paused sales due to supply queue delays. Gazpromneft and Gazprom now limit purchases to 30 litres of petrol and 60 litres of diesel per customer. Lukoil has set its own cap at 20 litres of petrol and 60 litres of diesel.

Five Rosneft and Lukoil stations are shut for planned maintenance and rebranding. Rosneft still allows up to 50 litres of petrol and 250 litres of diesel per transaction. All stations have also stopped selling fuel in cans to prevent stockpiling.

The city administration has asked drivers to follow the new limits. Restrictions apply to one car per purchase, aiming to ease demand driven by recent hype. Sochi officials confirm that fuel reserves are sufficient. The 45 open stations continue to provide AI-92 and AI-95 petrol. The measures are temporary and designed to maintain fair access for all motorists.
