Twelve Lower Austrian firms vie for top digital innovation award

Twelve regional companies have been nominated for the digi4business Project of the Year award. The initiative highlights successful digitalisation efforts across Lower Austria. Voting is now open to the public until the end of July. The digi4business program runs from May 2025 to May 2026. It supports local businesses in adopting digital solutions. Funding comes from the State of Lower Austria and the Lower Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

Among the nominees, BTG Spedition und Logistik GmbH uses an AI-powered dispatch tool to optimise truck routes. Hager Bakery reduces food waste with AI-driven demand forecasting. BioPower GmbH improves biogas production through sensors and custom software that analyse raw materials and gas quality.

The winner will be announced in September. Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner and Wolfgang Ecker will present the award. The winning company receives a voucher for an advertisement in the Chamber’s magazine. They can also choose between a corporate video production or a showroom event. The digi4business initiative aims to boost digital transformation in the region. The public can participate by voting for their preferred project before the end of July. The award ceremony will recognise the most innovative digital solution among the twelve finalists.
