New traffic management measures have been introduced on the M4 Don Highway in Krasnodar Region. The changes aim to improve road safety between key settlements. Several structural updates and restrictions are now in place. Work has been carried out along multiple sections of the highway. Extended guide islands with relocated road signs have been installed near several settlements. Delimiters now line the shoulder and central divider close to the interchange at the 1,385th kilometer in Goryachy Klyuch.

Additional safety barriers have also been added. A New Jersey-style concrete barrier runs along the median between the 1,402nd and 1,403rd kilometers. Restraint barriers are now in place along the central divider near the village of Gorskoye at the 1,439th kilometer.

A dedicated acceleration and deceleration lane has been constructed at the 1,389th kilometer in the opposite direction. This is intended to ease traffic flow and reduce congestion.

From April 30 to September 13, 2026, truck restrictions will apply. Vehicles with a permitted maximum weight over 15 tons will be banned from the highway from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. The ban covers the stretch between Goryachy Klyuch and Dzhubga. The new measures include physical upgrades and seasonal restrictions. They are designed to enhance safety and manage traffic more effectively. The changes will remain in force until at least mid-September 2026.
