Morgan Stanley Reveals 0.14% Fees for Proposed Ethereum and Solana ETFs

Morgan Stanley sets 0.14% fee for its Ethereum and Solana ETFs ahead of SEC review

Morgan Stanley has revealed proposed fees for its planned spot Ethereum and Solana exchange-traded funds. The amended filings now include a 0.14% annual charge, filling a gap left in earlier versions. This update moves the applications closer to potential approval. The bank’s Investment Management arm would absorb most standard operating costs from the 0.14% fee. This unitary charge covers administration, custody, legal work, audit services, and listing expenses among other costs.

Both ETFs would feature staking as part of their structure. Investors would receive 95% of the staking rewards generated. For the Ethereum ETF, staking providers include Figment, Galaxy Blockchain Infrastructure, and Coinbase Canada, with BNY Mellon and Coinbase Custody acting as custodians.

The filings remain under SEC review and require further public updates and exchange approval before trading can start. The Morgan Stanley Ethereum Trust and Morgan Stanley Solana Trust are expected to trade on NYSE Arca under the ticker MSOL. These changes reflect the bank’s broader push into digital asset products, which now include Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana. The 0.14% annual fee is now set for both proposed ETFs. The inclusion of staking and the fee structure mark progress in the review process. Trading cannot begin until regulatory and exchange approvals are secured.
