Wartburgkreis Disability Office Closes Briefly for State Tech Upgrade
The Disability Assessment Office of the Wartburgkreis District Administration will close for in-person appointments on 1 and 2 July 2026. The shutdown is part of a statewide technical system transition affecting the Thuringian State Data Center. The closure is due to the relocation of the Thuringian State Data Center. During this time, the specialised software needed for disability assessments will be unavailable. Limited telephone support will remain available on both days.
Full services, including in-person appointments and inquiries, are set to resume on 6 July 2026. The system upgrade is expected to be complete by this date. Residents requiring disability assessments will need to wait until 6 July for normal operations. The temporary disruption is tied to the broader technical transition across the state. Services will return to their usual schedule once the system is back online.
