SCAT Airlines Launches Direct Karaganda-Shymkent Route on May 26
SCAT Airlines has announced a new direct route connecting Karaganda and Shymkent. The service begins on May 26, with tickets now available for purchase. Flights will run twice weekly, offering a quicker travel option between the two cities. The route will operate every Tuesday and Thursday. On Tuesdays, departures from Karaganda are set for 9:00 AM. Thursday flights will leave later in the evening, at 11:00 PM.
A Boeing 737 aircraft will handle the journey, which takes 2 hours and 15 minutes. Prices for a one-way ticket start at 27,463 tenge, roughly $58. Currently, SCAT Airlines has not revealed plans for additional direct routes in Central Asia. Their recent agreements focus on partnerships with Sanya Phoenix International Airport and Air Samarkand, but no new connections have been confirmed beyond this service.
The new flights provide a direct link between Karaganda and Shymkent starting later this month. With affordable fares and a short travel time, the route aims to improve connectivity within Kazakhstan. Tickets are already on sale for the inaugural and subsequent flights.
