VTB expands Chinese supplier database fivefold in six months at Russia-China EXPO
VTB has expanded its database of Chinese suppliers for Russian businesses by five times in under six months. The growth was announced at the 10th Russia-China EXPO in Harbin, where the bank also presented new tools for cross-border trade. Over 2,500 Chinese firms now seek partnerships with Russian companies through the platform. The 10th Russia-China EXPO took place in Harbin from May 17 to 21. VTB participated as both an official sponsor and exhibitor, offering solutions for foreign economic activity. Entrepreneurs received consultations on secure and profitable business operations between the two countries.
Julia Kopytova, VTB’s Senior Vice President and Head of Analysis, Coordination, and Product Development, highlighted the rapid expansion of the supplier database. She noted that speed, transparency, and reliable information are vital for Russian entrepreneurs dealing with Chinese partners.
VTB also demonstrated cutting-edge end-to-end document verification technologies at the event. These tools ensure full compliance with the legal requirements of both Russia and China, simplifying trade processes for businesses. China remains a major trade partner for Russian companies. VTB’s expanded database and verification systems aim to streamline cross-border transactions. The bank’s participation in the EXPO reinforced its role in supporting economic ties between the two nations.
