Russia's Ministry of Transport has announced that high-speed sections and bypass routes around several towns will be built on the approaches to Vladivostok, aiming to boost road capacity and improve traffic safety. According to the ministry, these projects are part of the broader Infrastructure for Life initiative, which envisions constructing and upgrading over 2,000 kilometers of roads by the end of 2031, including key routes outlined in the master plans of Far Eastern cities.

Government-approved documents clarify that the road projects near Vladivostok are designed to strengthen international transport links with China and the Asia-Pacific region.

Regional publications note that upgrading access roads and rerouting transit traffic away from residential areas will reinforce the city's role as a major logistics hub and the final destination on the "West–East" corridor.

Materials on the long-term development plan for the Vladivostok urban agglomeration until 2030 indicate that federal decisions regarding the "West–East" corridor align with existing measures to modernize the transport infrastructure of the Far Eastern capital. The plan includes substantial investments in roads and logistics infrastructure, complementing the high-speed sections and bypasses planned for federal highways leading to Vladivostok.
