Vladivostok dismantles eight illegal billboards in urban cleanup sweep

Authorities in Vladivostok have removed eight illegal advertising billboards from building facades in the past week. The action follows ongoing efforts to clear unauthorised structures across the city. The dismantling took place at several locations, including 60 and 64 Balyaeva Street, as well as 85 and 85v Lugovaya Street, Building 2. Mobile teams carried out the work after owners failed to respond to formal removal notices.

Owners of the billboards will now face charges for the removal and temporary storage costs. The city has warned that similar action will continue against other illegal structures, such as metal garages, retail kiosks, and unauthorised extensions.

Meanwhile, rumours have circulated that the Gorodok water and wellness complex at 4b Vatutina Street is being demolished for residential development. Officials clarified that these claims are false. However, they confirmed that the building itself was constructed without proper permits or operational approvals. The city’s crackdown on illegal structures remains ongoing. Property owners who ignore removal orders will see their buildings dismantled and stored at their own expense. Further enforcement actions are expected in the coming weeks.
