Vault partners with Thredd to launch global card programs in Australia and beyond
Australian payments provider Vault has chosen Thredd as its technology partner for a major expansion. The deal will see Vault launch new card programmes in Australia and the UK, with plans to enter five more regions in the coming years. Thredd's platform will power prepaid, debit, and private-label card services under the agreement.
Vault selected Thredd after evaluating several global processors. The decision came down to Thredd's technical flexibility, regional expertise, and collaborative approach. Michael Jess, Vault's founder and CEO, highlighted these strengths as key factors in the partnership.
Under the agreement, Vault will use Thredd's full-stack issuing and processing capabilities. This includes support for embedded card experiences across multiple markets. Damien Gough, Thredd's Head of Asia Pacific, welcomed the collaboration, calling it an exciting step for both companies.
The partnership also reinforces Thredd's reputation as a leading processor for fast-growing payment providers. Vault's expansion plans include five additional countries or regions beyond Australia and the UK, all backed by Thredd's infrastructure.
The deal allows Vault to scale its card programmes internationally using Thredd's technology. Prepaid, debit, and private-label cards will now be available in more markets. Thredd's role as a processor for innovative payment solutions is further strengthened by this agreement.
