Uttar Pradesh to Honor Top Madrasa Board Students with Tablets in June 2026

The Uttar Pradesh government will recognise top-performing students from the 2026 Madrasa Board examinations in early June. A ceremony in Lucknow will honour the highest achievers in both the Munshi/Maulvi and Alim categories. Officials have also announced plans to distribute tablet devices to the leading rank holders.

This year’s exams saw 80,933 registrations, with 63,211 students appearing and 55,788 passing. The results highlighted strong performances across the state, with an equal number of male and female students making the merit lists.

In the Munshi/Maulvi (Secondary) category, Mohammad Wasim from Chandauli secured first place. Mohammad Qasim Ali of Mirzapur and Shaima Parveen of Gorakhpur followed in second and third positions. The Alim (Senior Secondary) category featured Jumi Fareen and Shaista Parveen from Varanasi, along with Ummul Khair of Amroha, among the top scorers. Minority Welfare Minister Danish Azad Ansari emphasised the government’s commitment to improving education standards. He stated that the initiative aims to blend traditional religious learning with modern technology. The top 10 students in each category will be felicitated, while the top three will receive tablet devices. The programme reflects broader efforts to integrate minority students into mainstream educational opportunities. Authorities have stressed that modernising madrasa education remains a key priority.

The awards ceremony will take place in Lucknow during the first week of June. The government’s push to combine religious studies with digital tools marks a shift in educational strategy. The event will also highlight the achievements of students who excelled in this year’s examinations.
