Ukraine's MORRIGAN drone disrupts Russian supply lines in occupied regions

Ukrainian forces have stepped up drone attacks on Russian supply lines in occupied regions. A newly developed strike drone, named MORRIGAN, is now targeting military trucks on key routes. The operations aim to disrupt logistics far behind enemy lines. The 412th Nemesis Brigade, part of Ukraine’s military, created the MORRIGAN drone. This fixed-wing system is built for deep strikes, reaching distant Russian-held areas. Its design focuses on agility and precision, allowing it to hit transport and infrastructure targets.

Footage released by the brigade shows MORRIGAN striking Russian trucks on roads linking Mariupol, Melitopol, and Simferopol. The drone has also destroyed air defence and support sites in Crimea. Among its targets is the R-280 highway, a vital supply route for Russian forces.

Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Directorate has confirmed broader drone operations against transport corridors. These missions extend far beyond the front line, cutting off Russian logistics networks. MORRIGAN joins a growing group of Ukrainian middle-strike drones designed for rear-area attacks. The drone’s deployment marks a shift in Ukraine’s strategy, focusing on long-range interdiction. By hitting Russian supply chains, the operations aim to weaken military movement in occupied regions. The Nemesis Brigade’s footage provides clear evidence of the drone’s impact on key transport routes.
