TSB and Travelex slash travel money costs for Kiwi customers
TSB Bank has teamed up with Travelex to offer its customers better travel money rates across New Zealand. The deal gives TSB account holders access to discounted foreign currency both online and in-store. Over 50 currencies are available at the reduced prices. The partnership allows TSB customers to order foreign cash or load funds onto a Travelex Money Card (TMC) at special rates. These discounts apply when booking online for store pickup. In-person savings are also available by showing a valid TSB card or bank statement at any Travelex branch.
Travelex will further expand its reach by opening a new store at New Plymouth House of Travel on 12 May 2026. This addition joins existing locations in Nelson, Hamilton, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch Airport, and Queenstown Airport. The company aims to make foreign exchange more accessible, particularly for customers in regional areas.
The discounted rates cover more than 50 currencies in cash and nine on the TMC. TSB customers can now benefit from these savings whether they prefer physical money or a pre-paid travel card. The collaboration between TSB and Travelex provides account holders with cheaper travel money options nationwide. Customers can collect discounted currency from multiple branches or load it onto a TMC. The new New Plymouth store will add to the network of locations offering these rates.
