Wendessen, a village of 1,100 residents, now has a fresh online presence. The new website, www.wendessen.de, was entirely designed and built by 19-year-old local Ennio Marke. It replaces an outdated platform with a modern, community-focused approach. The old Wendessen website struggled with obsolete content, clunky design, and outdated technology. Recognising the need for change, Ennio Marke took on the task of creating a new site from scratch. He coded every element himself, ensuring a clean, distinctive look tailored to the village's needs.

The new platform is more than just a visual upgrade. Clubs and local organisations can now directly publish their own news and event updates. This feature aims to keep information current and reduce reliance on a single administrator. Mayor Andreas M. Rink publicly thanked Marke for his dedication. He also encouraged residents to share their thoughts on the site and suggest improvements. Marke, who will start a computer science degree in Berlin this autumn, designed the website to be intuitive and inviting. The community is now invited to contribute, helping shape the platform's future content. With its user-friendly layout, the site is meant to serve as a central hub for Wendessen's activities and announcements.

The launch of www.wendessen.de provides a new digital space for the village. Local groups can now manage their own updates, while residents have the chance to engage and offer feedback. The project reflects a collaborative effort to keep Wendessen connected online.
