Tata Power has expanded its electric vehicle charging network across India. The company now operates over 5,500 public charging points in more than 700 cities and towns. Its latest additions include new stations in Pune, the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway, and Kolkata. In Maharashtra alone, Tata Power has set up over 2,400 charging points. Of these, more than 1,800 are located in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. These cities have become major EV markets, driven by better charging access and rising consumer interest in electric mobility.

The company’s nationwide network has supported over 414 million green miles. It has also enabled more than 7.5 lakh charging sessions and helped prevent nearly 50,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions. Additionally, Tata Power has partnered with leading automakers to install over 2.3 lakh home chargers across the country.

The growing charging infrastructure in Maharashtra is set to encourage more EV adoption in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Reliable charging options are seen as a key factor in building consumer trust and speeding up the transition to cleaner transport. India’s EV market is growing rapidly, with sales exceeding 2.55 million units in FY2026. All vehicle segments recorded double-digit growth during this period. Tata Power’s expanding network plays a significant role in supporting this shift towards electric mobility.
