Sochi's Kudepsta district begins major road repairs and traffic changes
Road restoration work has started in Sochi’s Kudepsta microdistrict. Several streets will see major improvements, including resurfacing and structural repairs. Traffic is already affected in some areas due to ongoing construction. The project covers a wide area. Over 3.1 kilometres of roadway will receive new surfaces, with old asphalt removed and replaced by stone-mastic asphalt concrete. Surface depressions will also be eliminated during the process.
Kuznechnaya Street is currently serving as a detour due to the roadwork. Other sections of the key transport artery linking Nikolayevka, Bestuzhevka, Verino, and the Chaisovkhoz microdistrict to Adler’s city centre and the federal highway will also see repairs.
Chaynaya Street will have its pavement replaced in two heavily damaged sections. Penzenskaya, Petrozavodskaya, and Gastello Streets will undergo pothole repairs and road marking refreshes. Additionally, Verinskaya Street will be widened, and passing bays will be added. Traffic restrictions are already in place on the damaged bridge over the Kudepsta River. The repairs will improve road conditions across the microdistrict. New surfaces, widened sections, and refreshed markings aim to enhance safety and traffic flow. Drivers are advised to follow detours and respect temporary restrictions during the works.
