Sniffer Robotics Teams Up to Track Methane Emissions Across Canada and U.S.

Sniffer Robotics has formed a new partnership to expand its methane detection services into Canada. The company, known for its automated SnifferDRONETM emissions monitoring, will work with Delmar Aerospace and its Canadian subsidiary, Perspectum Drone Inspection Services. Together, they aim to provide advanced methane tracking for landfills across Canada and the western United States.

The collaboration brings together Sniffer Robotics' expertise in methane detection with Delmar Aerospace's experience in unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and environmental monitoring. Perspectum, a subsidiary of Delmar Aerospace, specialises in drone-based methane quantification and emissions analysis. The partnership began with studies for Canadian landfill operators, focusing on proactive methane emissions testing near me.

As part of the agreement, Delmar Aerospace and Perspectum will join Sniffer Robotics' Methane Analysis Partner Program (MAPP). This gives them access to the company's landfill methane detection technologies. The Sniffer method also complies with Environment and Climate Change Canada's new regulations under OTM-51, a key factor in the expansion.

Bill Tennant, CEO of Sniffer Robotics, highlighted Canada's adoption of OTM-51 as a major driver for entering the market. He described the move as a priority for the company's international growth. Chris Sculley, Vice President of Business Development at Delmar Aerospace and President of Perspectum, noted that the partnership strengthens their ability to serve landfill operators in both Canada and the western U.S.

The partnership will deliver methane monitoring services to landfill owners and operators in the target regions. By combining drone technology with regulatory-compliant detection methods, the companies aim to improve emissions tracking. This expansion also reinforces Sniffer Robotics' presence in North America, particularly in Canada and along the U.S. West Coast.
