Russian School Faces Legal Action Over Hazardous Sanitary Conditions
School No. 2 in Khor, Lazovsky District, is facing serious sanitary issues. Inspectors from Rospotrebnadzor uncovered multiple violations during a recent check. The agency has now taken legal action to force repairs and bring the building up to standard. The inspection revealed widespread problems across the school. Wastewater traces, a broken sewage system, and a strong foul smell filled the basement. Classrooms were also in disrepair, with chairs and desks showing chips, defects, and exposed holes. Many surfaces had peeling paint or visible mould, making proper cleaning difficult.
Outside, the entrance steps and walkways were cracked and uneven, posing a safety risk. Doors and furniture were in such poor condition that disinfection efforts were ineffective. Rospotrebnadzor has since filed a lawsuit with the Lazovsky District Court to address the violations. The local Rospotrebnadzor office continues to monitor the situation closely.
The lawsuit aims to enforce compliance with sanitary regulations at the school. Repairs will be required for the sewage system, furniture, and walkways. Until then, the building remains under official scrutiny.
