Russian citizens will soon have the chance to vote for future candidates in the State Duma and Primorsky Krai Legislative Assembly elections. The process will take place through the Gosuslugi public services portal. Meanwhile, United Russia has begun its preliminary voting phase, with a push to include veterans of the special military operation in its candidate lists. Viktor Pinsky, a State Duma deputy and member of United Russia's General Council, has proposed adding participants from the special military operation to the party's election rosters. During a visit to Vladivostok, he submitted his own documents for the preliminary voting and met with local party officials. He also encouraged veterans to register, urging them to present their platforms to the public.

The State Duma has already passed 159 laws aimed at safeguarding the rights of those involved in the special military operation and their families. United Russia's preliminary voting will run from May 25 to 31, with candidate biographies and policy proposals available on the official voting website.

Earlier, Pinsky held discussions with staff and management at the Maritime Supply company in Devyaty Val, Nadezhdinsky District. The meetings focused on regional engagement ahead of the upcoming elections. The preliminary voting period will determine United Russia's final candidate lists for the 2026 elections. Veterans and other participants in the special military operation have been invited to take part. Official results and candidate numbers will be confirmed after the voting closes on May 31.
