Russia expands whitelist to keep health-monitoring apps online during restrictions
The newly included services cover remote continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, which are essential for people with diabetes. These applications allow users to receive real-time blood sugar data on their smartphones from personal medical devices. Even during internet restrictions, services such as Yuwell Anytime, Follow Anytime, Anytime, Anytime Follow, POCTech CGM, Dianian, and others will now remain accessible.
Additionally, the list has been expanded to include Russian-made apps for remote blood sugar monitoring—"M-Line: Remote Diabetes Control" and "Satellite Online."
The updated whitelist also features the domestic IoMT.Istok platform for tracking vital health metrics and the Inme app for blood pressure monitoring.
The push to include glucose monitoring apps in the whitelist came during President Vladimir Putin's annual live Q&A session in December 2025. Following the discussion, the head of state instructed the government to add these applications to the whitelist by April 1, 2026.
