Quantum Critical Metals launches major Québec drilling for gallium and rubidium
Quantum Critical Metals Corp. has secured approval for a major drilling programme at its NMX East property in northern Québec. The permit allows up to 121 diamond drill holes, marking a key step in the company's exploration efforts. CEO Marcy Kiesman called the development a significant milestone for advancing the project. The drilling will focus on muscovite-rich pegmatite dykes, targeting gallium and rubidium mineralisation. Additional work is planned within an ultramafic rock formation to assess potential nickel and polymetallic deposits. The programme will roll out in phases over the next two years, with each stage informed by analytical results from prior campaigns.
The company has also granted 4,000,000 incentive stock options to consultants, directors, and officers. These options, exercisable at $0.07 per share, vest immediately and remain valid for three years.
Beyond NMX East, Quantum holds four other critical mineral projects across Canada. These include the Buck Property in British Columbia, two projects in Yukon, and one in Ontario. The portfolio also features the Discovery Gallium-Rubidium-Cesium Project, the Babine South Silver Project, and the Prophecy Germanium-Gallium-Zinc Project.
The NMX East Project sits in Québec, a globally recognised mining hub. Quantum specialises in critical metals essential for next-generation technologies, from energy storage to advanced electronics. The approved drilling programme will enable systematic exploration across the NMX East site. Results from the campaign will guide future phases, with the company aiming to unlock the project's potential for critical minerals. Quantum's broader portfolio continues to expand, reinforcing its focus on high-demand metals for modern industries.
