Prodex-Omsk rises from bankruptcy under new ownership after years of turmoil

Prodex-Omsk LLC, once a major player in Russia’s oilseed processing industry, has undergone significant changes in recent years. Founded in 2007, the company launched a large-scale plant in 2014 but later faced financial struggles that led to bankruptcy proceedings. Now, under new ownership, its future appears to be taking a different turn. The company began operations in Tavricheskoye in 2007. Seven years later, in 2014, it opened an oil-processing plant with an annual capacity of 145,000 tons of raw materials, including 53,000 tons of sunflower oil. The ceremony drew regional officials, including then-Governor Nazarov, marking a high point for the business.

By the summer of 2018, however, Prodex-Omsk LLC faced a bankruptcy petition. Insolvency proceedings followed, resulting in the sale of its assets—most notably, a 5,450-square-meter oilseed processing plant and several land plots—valued at roughly 3.43 billion rubles. The company remained in financial distress, recording a loss of around 1.1 billion rubles in 2025. Despite these challenges, Prodex-Omsk LLC managed to exit bankruptcy in February 2025. That same year, it reported a profit of 96 million rubles in 2024, signalling a brief recovery. As of May 4, 2026, the company’s sole co-owner is Blago-Omsk LLC, with Blago Management Company overseeing its administration.

The plant’s journey reflects both rapid growth and financial turbulence. After emerging from bankruptcy, Prodex-Omsk LLC now operates under new ownership. The shift in control and recent profitability figures suggest a changed direction for the once-struggling business.
