Pleo's AI agents revolutionize business spend management with automation

Pleo has unveiled a new suite of AI agents designed to automate spend management for businesses. The tools aim to streamline financial processes, which many UK companies currently find slow and inefficient. A recent survey shows that 49% of UK firms struggle with cumbersome financial workflows. To address this, Pleo’s AI agents will handle tasks like processing invoices, coding transactions, and reconciling accounts. The AP Agent will manage invoices, schedule payments, and track their status. The Accounting Agent will code transactions, reconcile accounts, and flag issues for review.

The Treasury Agent will monitor cash flow and highlight overspend risks. Another tool, Pleo MCP-Next, will capture card transactions, locate receipts, and submit expenses. The Policy Agent is already live, enforcing company spend rules in real time.

Pleo’s AI agents will be available through its app, web platform, and connected AI tools. This launch follows concerns that 68% of finance professionals lack AI skills and confidence.
