Nizhny Novgorod launches 310-hectare industrial park to lure manufacturers
The Nizhny Novgorod region has greenlit a new state industrial park in Dzerzhinsk. Covering over 310 hectares, the site will sit near the Doskino freight yard, offering easy rail access for businesses. Officials say the move aims to boost local investment and manufacturing. The park's location next to a railway line will streamline logistics for future tenants. Full engineering infrastructure—including water, gas, electricity, and wastewater systems—will be installed on-site. This follows regional efforts to expand investment opportunities under the national project An Efficient and Competitive Economy, active since 2025.
Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov highlighted the region's push to grow its investment infrastructure. So far, 15 potential residents, primarily in metalworking, have shown interest in the project. The Dzerzhinsk site is part of a broader plan: six industrial parks are set to open across the region by 2025. Nizhny Novgorod currently ranks second in Russia's national investment climate rating. The government has already allocated land for the Dzerzhinsk park and is preparing to develop five more similar sites in other municipalities.
The new industrial park will provide ready-made facilities for businesses, reducing setup costs. With rail connections and full utilities, it is designed to attract manufacturers and strengthen the region's economy. Construction and tenant recruitment are expected to progress in the coming months.
