Gleb Nikitin, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region, congratulated residents on May Day, also known as Spring and Labor Day.

In his address, he noted that May 1 is deeply rooted in traditions of creation and collective labor, values that have endured across generations.

Nikitin emphasized that Nizhny Novgorod Region takes pride in preserving and advancing its industrial legacy. The region is home to leading enterprises, cutting-edge technologies, and automated production processes. Yet, he stressed, the cornerstone of any company's success remains its skilled workforce.

The governor highlighted recent efforts to train young professionals. Under the federal Professionalitet (Professionalism) initiative, 16 industry-focused clusters have been established at local colleges and technical schools, with three more set to open in the coming months. This model allows students to connect with future employers while still in training.

Nikitin also paid tribute to the region's labor dynasties, whose members have upheld professional traditions for generations.

In closing, he wished the people of Nizhny Novgorod Region continued professional achievement and the fulfillment of their goals.
