Employees of Nizhny Novgorod Energy took part in this year’s Victory Day commemorations. The 81st anniversary of the end of World War II saw staff honouring fallen soldiers across the region with wreaths, rallies and restoration work. On 9 May, workers from all districts of the company’s grid operations joined public events. They attended processions, concerts and memorial gatherings in their local communities. Many also laid flowers and wreaths at war monuments, including the Eternal Flame in the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin.

Beyond ceremonies, teams carried out restoration work at key sites. They repaired monuments in villages such as Arzhanovo, Maloye Klyuchevo and Yefremovo, as well as in towns like Kulebaki and Kstovo. In Semyonov, employees focused on restoring the graves of Red Army soldiers. Director Dmitry Fedorov personally laid flowers at the Eternal Flame. His gesture reflected the company’s broader effort to preserve the memory of those who fought in the war.

The commemorations included both public tributes and practical restoration. Monuments in eleven locations were repaired, while graves in Semyonov were restored. Nizhny Novgorod Energy’s staff contributed to the region’s observance of the 81st Victory Day anniversary.
