Nikolaevsk-on-Amur launches 175M ruble heating network overhaul by 2024
Nikolaevsk-on-Amur is set to begin a major upgrade of its heating networks. The project, costing 175 million rubles, will improve reliability and efficiency for local residents. Work will take place in stages over the coming year under the supervision of the city’s energy specialists. The overhaul will start as soon as the heating season ends. Engineers will replace 12 sections of the network, covering more than three kilometres of pipeline. This phase must finish by September 30, though the northern climate means repairs will take four months to complete.
From January to May, and again from October to December, crews will restore insulation on nine key segments. Vyacheslav Skorodelov, chief engineer of the Nikolaevsk CHPP branch, is leading the project. He has warned that hot water supply may be temporarily cut off during summer work.
Traffic along Kantera Street will also face restrictions while the upgrades are underway. The modernisation aims to strengthen the city’s heating infrastructure before next winter. Residents will see improved service once the repairs are done. The full project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024.
