Merz inaugurates Niedax Campus - 500 jobs for Rhineland-Palatinate - Niedax Group's new Germany campus to drive fiber and infrastructure growth
Chancellor Friedrich Merz has officially opened Niedax Group's new campus in Rhineland-Palatinate. The facility will serve as a hub for coordinating infrastructure projects across Germany and Europe. It also includes the Synnoscape Experience Center, where modern solutions are on display.
Niedax Group, founded in 1950, now operates 81 locations in 30 countries, with around 2,800 employees. Most of its sites—79 in total—are based outside Germany. The company manufactures over 50,000 electrical installation products used in various industries.
The new campus is expected to generate up to 500 jobs. Niedax plans to use it as a launchpad for major projects, including resilient fiber networks. One key initiative involves expanding these networks along roughly 33,000 kilometres of railway tracks.
Beyond fiber optics, the company is working to develop small and medium-sized data centres. Partnerships will play a central role in advancing these efforts.
The campus opening marks a step forward for Niedax's infrastructure ambitions. Its focus on fiber-optic expansion and data centre growth aligns with broader digital and transport needs. The facility's role in job creation and project coordination will likely shape its future impact.
