New LRT line completes high-speed trial runs ahead of launch

As part of the trial operation of the light rail transit (LRT) line on the section from Auyezhai station to Nurly Zhol station, scheduled tests of rolling stock and infrastructure are underway.

During the test runs, trains reached the design speed of 80 km/h (50 mph).

The tests confirmed the proper functioning of traffic control, communication, and signaling systems in the designated mode, according to the capital's transport company, CTS.
