New freight partnership accelerates East-West trade via Nakhodka hub
A new strategic partnership has been formed to boost freight transport along the East-West trade route. Astafiev Terminal and Logoper signed an agreement aimed at speeding up cargo deliveries and strengthening long-term cooperation. The deal was finalised by Ruslan Kondratov, President of Aqua-Resources Group, and Alexander Kakhidze, Head of Fininvest Group. The first major shipment under this agreement arrived on the vessel Yuan Rui Ji Yun, carrying 988 containers of general cargo from China. The cargo was unloaded at Astafiev Terminal in Nakhodka, where modern facilities allowed for a rapid processing rate of 30 containers per hour. After unloading, the shipment is now being prepared for onward rail transport to central Russia.
Ruslan Kondratov highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating it reinforces Nakhodka’s role as a vital logistics hub in the Far East. He also expressed confidence that the collaboration would accelerate cargo movement and foster lasting business ties. The agreement further supports efforts to deepen trade and economic connections with China. Astafiev Terminal’s advanced infrastructure played a key role in handling the large volume efficiently. The partnership is expected to streamline future shipments along the East-West corridor, improving transit times and reliability.
The strategic agreement between Astafiev Terminal and Logoper marks a step toward faster and more efficient freight transport. With the first shipment already processed, the partnership is set to enhance trade flows between China and Russia. The deal also strengthens Nakhodka’s position as a central logistics point in the region.
