Müller – Die lila Logistik expands with a high-tech Dombühl facility by 2026

Müller – Die lila Logistik is expanding its operations with a new facility in Dombühl. Scheduled to open by late 2026, the site will become the company's 25th location. The move aims to boost capacity for contract logistics while supporting a key customer in the electronics industry.

The new facility will span roughly 52,000 square meters, developed in partnership with real estate firm bauwo. Designed as a build-to-suit project, it will include flexible storage zones, high-flatness flooring, and infrastructure for digitised and semi-automated workflows. The construction aligns with EU taxonomy standards and is expected to earn DGNB Gold certification for sustainability.

The company is embedding the Dombühl site into a broader regional network. This integration will combine workforce expertise, automation, and digital systems to streamline cross-site operations. By adding this location, Müller – Die lila Logistik will grow its total workforce to over 2,400 employees.

The investment reflects the firm's confidence in the region's long-term growth. Modern, technically advanced facilities will support customized logistics solutions, reinforcing its position in the market.

Once operational, the Dombühl facility will handle logistics for an electronics sector customer. It will also provide extra capacity for tailored contract services. The expansion marks another step in the company's strategy to enhance efficiency and digital integration across its network.
