Projects Linked to Metro Construction Underway
Several infrastructure projects tied to transport access for the Severny Bereg microdistrict are already being implemented in the capital. A major overhaul of Dolginovsky Tract is planned, covering the section from Chervyakov Lane to the Palace of Youth and Children. This was announced by Sergei Panev, director of Gordorstroy.
"This segment will be developed in six phases and is part of a broader construction effort that accounts for the new metro line and the future station on Orlovskaya Street," Panev explained. "Work will begin between the Palace of Youth and Orlovskaya Street, then extend from Orlovskaya Street to Dolginovsky Tract."
The project also includes the extension of Novovilenskaya Street to the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD).
"This will be a full-fledged six-lane road with a transport interchange near the Minsk Ring Road, adjacent to a gas station," Panev added.
Contractors from Trust No. 15 have already started work on the section from the Palace of Youth to Orlovskaya Street. Reconstruction of the intersection at Chervyakov Lane is set to begin shortly.
