Mexico City's light rail resumes after protest disruptions on Calzada de Tlalpan
Mexico City’s light rail service has resumed operations after protests disrupted the route. The demonstrations took place on Thursday along Calzada de Tlalpan, affecting travel between Tasqueña and Xochimilco. Search collectives marched along Calzada de Tlalpan toward Mexico City Stadium. They aimed to present demands to local authorities. The protests blocked the light rail line, halting services in both directions.
After the demonstrations, STE personnel worked to clear debris from the tracks. They also cleaned the affected stations to restore normal operations. The light rail service now runs as usual between Tasqueña and Xochimilco. Passengers can travel in both directions without further interruptions. The STE confirmed the line is fully operational again.
