Lithuania's drone production surge fuels Ukraine's defense with record deliveries
Lithuanian and international defence firms have significantly boosted drone and military equipment production in recent months. Several companies have delivered large batches of unmanned aerial vehicles, components, and electronic warfare systems to support ongoing defence efforts. Between November 2025 and April 2026, ELKO Grupa AS supplied 2,100 ready-made drones. RSI Europe also set a new record by delivering 9,500 'Shpak' FPV drones in a single batch. The company has since tripled its production capacity, now able to manufacture 120,000 of these drones annually.
From January to April 2026, Remtika UAB delivered 1,650 remotely controlled drones. During the same period, Dialog LT UAB provided 4,000 propellers and spare parts for UAVs, while UAB Lokmita supplied 1,350 infrared thermal imaging camera modules. UAB Tomiksas contributed 5,000 components for UAV production between September 2025 and April 2026.
NT Service UAB delivered 980 electronic warfare units between December 2025 and April 2026. Origin Robotics, already active in military technology, continues to supply products to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Additionally, Rheinmetall is constructing a factory in Lithuania to produce tens of thousands of 155-mm artillery shells each year, some of which may be sent to Ukraine. The increased output from these companies highlights a growing capacity for drone and defence equipment manufacturing. These supplies are set to play a direct role in military operations, with some already in use by Ukrainian forces. The new Rheinmetall factory will further expand production capabilities in the region.
